[Phone Reading] Self Love and Appreciation
Someone very dear to me came to me recently with some troubled thoughts and I spoke to her at length about her situation and possible underlying reasons for her problems. As with many others these days, I asked her if she would like me to pull a card for her. The card below is what came out (after a mistrial caused by my own cards showing up >_<) when I spoke her name to my deck – The Queen of Pentacles is one of the most caring and steady forces in the deck. She lays the grounds for a plentiful and secure environment for all of those around her. She is the ultimate caretaker and provider for everyone.
Nature surrounds the Queen, yet she looks down upon her pentacle, as if in contemplation. And for a moment, a thought came to me that the pentacle may be a mirror, with which the Queen is looking at herself. What internal message does the Queen have for herself?
The advice I gave to her was: on that special day of hers, go out armed with her camera, with a friend or just alone, find some small snippets of life around her that she thinks are beautiful (a branch, a person, a fish, a flower), take pictures, then go home and write about the pictures. The most important thing is that at the end of her comments on these pictures, she needs to write down something about HER that the picture reminds her of, whether it be a memory, a good personality trait, whatever. Something GOOD. Something that FEELS good. She’s such an intuitive and emotional person, she should not let what’s required of her professionally and the need to meet the expectations of others muddle her own senses and creativity. Then she could go and get a facial/massage/dinner, etc. Something she truly enjoys.
She must see herself for who she is: a most loving, caring, and wonderful person. There’s no “why”, she just “is”. And she must come to terms, and be OK with that – be OK with who she is. And she must be kind and accepting to herself, the same way she is to others. In the same way that she nurtures others, she must pamper and nurture herself. Provide for herself as she provides for others. Love herself as she loves others.
Then, perhaps the Queen will look up and see and truly appreciate all the beautiful elements around her because her heart is now clear.
